Panel Discussions:

May 24th:

  • 11:00 AM - Jim Pula: "Overlooked and Underappreciated: Dan Butterfield"
Despite being called New York’s “fightingest” Civil War general, Daniel Butterfield remains largely overlooked in Civil War literature. This presentation aims to change that, highlighting his combat leadership at key battles, his role as chief of staff at Chancellorsville and Gettysburg, and how he earned the Medal of Honor. It will also explore his enduring contributions—authoring “Taps,” creating unit badges, and writing a crucial Union Army manual—through a richly illustrated PowerPoint.

  • 1:00 PM - Mark Greathouse: (Moderator/Author) "Paths to Publishing – Which Road Will You Take?" (Authors Jim Rada/Jeff Matthews)
Join us for an insightful panel on the ever-evolving world of publishing! Industry veterans will dive into traditional, hybrid, and self-publishing—sharing personal experiences, insider tips, and the pros and cons of each path. Learn what it really takes to get published, from building endurance to maintaining creative drive. Whether you're a first-time author or looking to explore new avenues, this conversation will help you chart your course. A Q&A session will follow—bring your questions!

  • 3 PM - John Hopkins: "The World Will Never See the Like: The Gettysburg Reunion of 1913"
Join us as author John L. Hopkins brings to life the epic 1913 Gettysburg Reunion—53,000 Union and Confederate veterans reunited to remember, reflect, and reconcile. Based on his book The World Will Never See the Like, hailed by The Wall Street Journal as “compelling and poignant,” this is a powerful story you won’t want to miss!

May 25th:

  • 11:00 AM - Michael Hardy: “Feeding Lee’s Army and the Gettysburg Campaign.”
All armies were tied to their supply lines. Robert’s E. Lee’s invasion of Pennsylvania allowed his army to rely upon the countryside while gathering enough foodstuffs to supply the army for months after the campaign. The role of food during the Gettysburg campaign and the impact of the campaign on the long-term food supply of the army of Northern Virginia will be explored with Michael C. Hardy, author of "Feeding Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia."

  • 1:00 PM - Jeffrey A. Dengler & Dale E. Graff
Join Dale and Jeffrey as they explore the thrilling intersection of science and the supernatural! Discover how remote viewing is used to uncover haunted histories and paranormal activity—then contrast that with its classified role in military and intelligence operations like the Stargate program. Dive into the surprising similarities, key differences, and fascinating possibilities of this mysterious practice across two very different worlds.
