Remembrance Day Parade

A Gettysburg Tradition

Saturday, November 21, 2009

In 1956, when the last surviving soldier passed away, Albert Woolson, a monument was dedicated at Gettysburg to the memory of the Grand Army of the Republic. The dedication included a parade and ceremony. The event has taken place every year since the original dedication and is now known as "Remembrance Day".

The American Civil War Museum & Gettysburg Gift Center will host artist, authors and living historians during Remembrance Day weekend. Events and appearances are updated daily, stop back often for the latest list of events.
